There's an ever-increasing body of research showing the dangers of perfectionism on health and illness. While the majority of research is all about expanding the use of wearable for monitoring and detecting health, there remains a population for which use of wearables is contraindicated

Love this breathe runner. You right, perfectionism in health def leads to some chronic illness whether it's from the elevated cortisol and stress hormones, or just bad vibes on the spirit. love it!!

I have an Apple Watch. I used to wear it to bed. To track sleep, but now I put it on the charger. First, I didn’t think it was accurate and it was making me stressed about not getting enough deep sleep. Second, if I lifted my arm or turned my wrist, the watch might light up and blast me in the face with a beam of “wake the fuck up and look at me!”

So now I sleep peacefully without it.

Red lights after the sun goes down. So currently, in northern Alberta, the sun goes down around 4:00 PM and comes up around 8:30 AM. I don’t think 10 hours of red lights a day is going to work for me!

Haha Tim, I forgot about my Canadian homies in this post SMH. I guess red lights before bedtime! Anyway, the Apple Watch story is crazy. Don't forget about the high EMF that the watch emits, right next to your brain, bro! I would suggest keeping that thing and your phone in a different room for sure.

Yeah, the phone and the watch are on the other side of the room. They have their own bed lol

I have never been a fan of this wearable technology. I feel like I may be the only person on earth without a Apple Watch. One reason is the data. So much data harvesting. And like you mentioned, sometimes this data is incorrect and we run our lives accordingly to incorrect data. I also don’t feel like we should be wearing these devices so close to our bodies when they are emitting electromagnetic waves. I mean they tell us to not have our phones for long periods against our bodies because it can negatively affect us. Are the watches and rings doing the same thing. ??

Danni, this is impactful. Thanks for mentioning the EMFs, something I didn't even consider. Yeah, it takes a major toll on the psyche if you think your sleep was only 35 minutes but the ring just slightly fell off; it happens, lol. Anyway, thank you for this comment. Love your work so much, keep it up!
